Good Morning, maybe someone can assist. I'm restoring a 1980 Toyota 4X4 Pickup, have the Bed off, cleaning frame and differential area.

On top of the differential is a cap, seems loose after cleaning. Can someone inform what this is? is it an adjustment? should I adjust? or check? or leave alone. please see photo below. thanks in advance for any assistance.

leave it alone, it's just a breather vent. it is just a loose cap over the hole and seems loose now cause you cleaned the dirt and crap out from around it.
