287,000 miles and the tank finally has rotted out. too many New England winters. I have call/ searched many junk yards and no luck. the only thing I can find is a fuel pump. Most all of the tanks i find the yards have punched holes in them. I'm throwing around the idea of putting a fuel cell aft of the axle (this would free up drive shaft problems) but what works? has anyone done this? Were can I get a tank, fuel pump, sending unit and fuel guage. Or is there some other tank set up GM/Chev that will work with toyota wiring? I'd appreicate any info my rig hasn't been running for three months and my wife is telling me I need to get rid of it. I'm hoping if I get it operational again she will change her tone.
