Topic: Hopefully the new rig!

1982, 22R, 191k original miles, L45, already has 63" chevys under the rear. Some minor rust but nothin a little sanding/junkyard huntin cant fix!! He is askin $1500 but said i could get it for $1300. Im goin tuesday to test drive it and hes going to get the title wednesday and if i like it im goin to get it thursday.


Projects (not in specific order)
 
-Flatbed
-replace carb
-new front springs
- u-bolt flip
-hysteer
-35s
-gears and lockers
-exocage
-possibly extend the cab


Any thoughts or suggestions? Or just overall think of the deal or truck itself?

Not bad, but go with cash on hand and throw $1000 on his face. But if u really like the truck 1300 is not bad. Good luck!!!

Thanks guys.....buy the old lady stuck a fork in that idea....i wont be gettin a rig anytime soon unless i find one runnin for like 500 bucks

Yea tell me about it! But when we get a house ill be free to get one and ill have my own shop to work on it in instead of a buddies....but talk about gettin let down!

Im not gettin it so oh well lol and the townhome payment we have now is more than our house payment would be. Lookin for a foreclosed house to do a quick flip on.

I would have gave him 300 for it running or not.  I picked mine up from a super stuborn old man but i got the truck for 500 with extras i made 300 $$$ off of so  keep your eyes peeled the right toyota will find you!

take the $1300 but offer less than a $1000 and see what happens.. stick to your guns

I would but its a good buddy sellin it. He is askin 1500 from everyone else...it was his grandpas old farm truck and he passed away here recently...so i dont mind payin the full 1300 for it to help a buddy out and still get a decent start to a good build.

Yea said he would but id feel better just payin it all up front just in case something comes up.  But he took it off the market and is holdin it for me....im workin a month straight of 12 hours shifts on this plant shutdown so ill have the money by the end of the month. So its lookin like itll still be sittin in the driveway soon!
