parts vehicle
« on: Jun 30, 2006, 08:03:59 PM »
I just picked up an 87 4runner for $300 bones. It has a blown head gasket and a pretty beat body and is bone stock. I already have an 85 4runner with a Ford 302, C4 Transmission, and Jeep Dana 20 Transfercase. So i'm going to have to sell most of the drivetrain. But I know I will want to swap the axle from the 87 to my 85 because it is 3 inches wider. Does the 87 4runner have the vented rotors I will want for the swap? Also i'll want the IFS steering box and the doors for half doors. Is their anything else I should consider swapping over?

Check the rear see if it 6 cyl rear, I do belive the rotors are vented old school venting (no crossholes) front right? Ifs over solid axle? I would rethink that unless I am missing something.
Check radiator for 3 core or better always good for backup.

Good luck
