toy almost complete
« on: Apr 03, 2006, 12:58:39 PM »
i am new to this board but i am sure you guys will like my rig.
here we go, started with a stock 85. added 4 inch springs, chromoly birfields (from marlin) 529 gears. then welded the rear axle and detroit locker in front, then beadlocks on 35x16.5x15 rear cut boggers, and 36x12.5x15  tsl's front.inside cad rollcage with 5 point harness seat belts. and a kickass stereo. i just finished the bed ( this is why it is not dirty in the pic). bobbed the tail up to back spring mounts, welded in a reece receiver to replace the old rear cross member. added a 12 gallon foam fulled fuel cell.  added a multi mount 9500 warn winch just for fun. up next is the hysteer. i broke the stock cast steering on Saturday. let me know what you guys think ?

I like it but there are a few things that i would change not to say that there is anything wrong but i would change them if the title was in my name I would run boggersin the front aswell i would shorten the brush guard to profile the hood better and the i would love the truck nice job on it hope that it is like the rest of our trucks and you'll alway keep making it better and better to do what we all love 4 Wheel

looks good, but why differnt sized tires? isnt that a no-no?

also that bumper is way too tall

nice truck. like the boggers/tsl set-up, are you running slightly dff r&p's to balance the dif. in tire size? or do the boggers rn about the same height as the tsl's...with that bumper as high as it is, you need a sight on the front so you can point and shoot.
85 p/u, marlin#208, built 22R on propane, old school longs, 5.29's / detroits, bobbed, chopped, and flopped

thanks guys for the comments, the reason the bumper is kinda tall is a had a 3 inch body lift on it when i built the bumper, i do plan on making it lower. i run the boggers in the back only because i live in northern Kentucky and my farm is very sloppy as far as the mud goes. i did run boggers on the front but i had a hard time steering, they tend to slide sideways when climbing hills.  so the tsl's help steer better, and the difference in tire size has not hurt me yet, i run between 7-4 psi in front to 4 in rear. they run about the same hight.

Nice house

mine is the brick house not the Little one, thanks .
i ride with a loyal group of at least 8 every time we go which is about 3 times a month. my next purchase after the steering gets fixed will be from LC engineering, thinking a stage 2 motor.
