Selling my big block (plus parts)
« on: Jan 31, 2006, 06:51:58 AM »
I have a 68 Chevrolet 396 built motor left over from an abandoned 69 Chevelle SS project. Completely built:

Reground crank w/ new bearings

Bored .30 over with TRW forged pistons

ARP fastner kit throughout

Rebuilt heads w/ stainless valves and updated seats

292 Comp Cam complete kit w/ new locks, retainers, matched springs, and new hardened push rods

Omega roller rockers

Edelbrock RPM air gap intake

SFI dampener

Long headers

NIB Flowmaster Delta Force 3" mandrel dual exhaust for a pre 74 GM A-body

New Mighty Demon 750 carb

New Spec stage 3 clutch assembly

New flywheel

Converted to HEI distribution

NIB Hurst competiton shifter assembly for a Muncie 4 speed

$2000 for everything! Will consider trade for a super straight FJ40 body, All I want is the body...

My Chevelle would love that... Unfortunately, the cash has to go to the truck  :rivers:

I really want to find a 57-65 Chevy truck to put it in.... The motor's awesome, I hate to let it sit there and rot away.

I like the Apache style too, but I would probably put it in a 75 or so short bed Chevy. The Chevelle rocks a 230 inline 6 for now, mainly becuase of the truck. :tantrum:

You'd hit the gas and go over backward. That would have the power to wieght ratio of a Hiabusa. :yikes:
