Do i need a speedo extension when putting dual cases in a 1983 toyota pickup? Thanks!

i dont have an extension, and,,,,i had an 85 xcab with triple cases that used the factory cable with no extension, all you have to do is untie it from the keepers on the bottom of the cab and tug lightly, you should be able to get more than enough for duals
