Torque Specs

I need torque specs for the ring to carrier bolts, and for the carrier bearing cap bolts.  TY in advance.

71 ft lbs on the ring gear & 58 ft lbs on the bearing cap bolts
72 FJ40. 350 Multiport EFI, turbo 400, ORION T-case, 35 Procomp's  disk brakes front & rear, ARB's F&R and an onboard shower for the ladies!
86 sr-5 4runner SAS conversion. E-lockers F&R, 5.29's 4.7 Marlin case.

Use locktite and it's would be a good investment in keepers for your ring gear bolts, ther usually on the front ring gear bolts but don'thurt to have them on the back

Just curious as to where you found that information. I am puting a lockright in mine and it doesn't say the torq in the Haynes manual. So i am just curious for future reference! Thanks

every factory carrier i've seen has had the lock tabs on the ring gear bolts.  i'd trust a mechanical connection over loctite any day.
