Thats awsome... I used to get woken up by them out on our back portch eating the dog food. I'd turn on the light and they wouldnt even flinch. They'd just sit there with a handful of food staring at you. And once they got their fill they'd waddle their fat asses back to where they came from. Funny looking but mean as hell.

I was sleepin under an oak tree on a cot (no tent) and woke up to 2 coons fighting right above my head.  I was freaked out, they're huge, and if one of em had landed on me I dunno what I'da done!!

We went camping last summer at the lake, had my dog in the tent with me and my bro, and these too skunks mosey on outta their holes and go start eating the dog food.  Tent was only about 3 feet away!!  Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep an 80lb dog quiet, and still, while half wrapped up in a sleeping bag?  man, I'm glad we didnt perterb the skunks, I woulda been for a week!  Skunks are worse than coons IMO.  THey know that no matter what happens to them, the attacker loses, so they are a lot more confident.  You can scare a coon off

I was up at the lake this summer with my friend at the trailer park. Well we were out on the porch drinkin a lil and we had his golden retriever with us. All of a sudden the dog takes off chasing something. We thought it was a cat, until it stopped and raised its tail at the dog. Ewwww! We poured anything and everything on him to try and get the stink off him. Beer, hairspray, ketchup(sub for tomato juice). Well he was a mess but atleast we got some stink off him, didnt really matter though cause we had to leave him outside for the night. Just imagine RHG trying to give a sticky dog a bath in the lake with a hangover the next morning. Lots of laughs.

The fat one was more confident, I could get about 3ft from him before he would turn and walk away.  The small one would run as soon as I opend the door.

dang girl, you got way more guts then me, no way I would sleep outside without a tent! That's creepy, and then the coons fighting, musta really freeked you out!
But they are pretty cute little guys. There was a restaurant not far from here where they were real docile, you could hand them bits of food. They were so cute with their little hands, like they were wearing little leather gloves.

Sleeping outside is totally awsome!!!!! I do it whenever I get the chance, but usually I have a cot.  If I had a truck bed I'd sleep in that, but then again, on a truck bed you can't see as much as out in the open.  You should try it sometime
