How does the "half a hardtop" work?  Is it still lockable?  I'm very interested in the rig for my daughter.  She's selling her 3/4 ton Scout and wants a Runner.

No, it's not lockable. I removed the rear side  windows, and cut across the top. I then cut the back off at the verticle body seam almost at the back of the side windows. It offers shade and wind protection ( still has sliding windows) for the backseat. I eventually was going to get a canback...There is a picture of a white 4runner in some of Marlin's literature that I got the concept from...

We seriously need some pics and we may have a deal man.  Somebody's gotta have some. How many miles are on the truck?  Does it have dry cell battery and do you have any extra spare parts for it.  What kind of cam did you put in. Do the 4.88's turn the 37's very well.

I wish I had pics to post:(It's an 85 4runner, 12" bedbob, pickup tailgate,  desert camo, on 37's...
There are a spare set of birfs and inner axles,optima deep cycle batt, 488's are fine-65/70 down freeway..., street performer lc eng cam, Motor has~12k, tranny??, front end-bearings 0 miles, third member~3000 miles, xfers~120K???, rear end-brand new-0 miles...
