L52 shifter removal

:help:  :help:  :help: How do you remove the shifter from this transmission? Any and all help is appreciated, thanks

get a pair of needle nose pliers or a couple screwdrivers, and push down on both sides on the collar that goes into the tranny and turn it left.  the shifter will pop out
