Duals goin in what to do with hand brake on the fuel tank
« on: Jun 17, 2005, 05:38:06 AM »
Guys i need some help .
Im fitting the duals nect week and need to know from the guys with 4 runners or shortbeds what they did to the handbrake bracket that bolts to the fuel tank ?
I have an auto and it sits 3" further back than the v6 manuals any sugestions or ideas?
Also have read about the horseshoe crossmember near the fuel tank maybe a problemo with the dual cardan shaft bein on the tcase end any one got a method of fixing it?
i was thinking of cutting the crossmember and then einforcing with some 8m plate that will give plenty of space but need too know if there is somehtin more simple.
Thanks Guys
Dave

ive seen people notch and reinforce that xmember, worked well, as for the ebrake, cut it all of and use a line lock, or transfer case mounted brake, i have used both methods and love em both
