I want a performace intake...

Hey guys, I have an 88 4runner, and I need to find a nice intake to go with it, I havent had much luck finding one for that year, so if anyone has any suggestions lemmie know!

Try www.downeyoff-road.com , they might have some stuff.

offenhouser made one for the carbed motors,,it was a duel plane intake,,but dont't know of any for efi..

You talking intake tube and filter, or do you want a new plenum?

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

even then its still going to be restricted due to the air flow meter for efi anyway.

Not to hijack the thread, but along the same line, I've been looking for a larger throttle body, and no-one that I can find makes one.

any ideas?  ???

doa, lc engineering, downey, and some other people make em, they are pricey, help a little, prob 2-3hp 2 mpg? give or take :beerchug:

Yeah it looks like the downey website had one, that is the best so far... actually the only.  How much of a gain in power do you get from do a complete exhaust (header-back)

not much did it myself but it was a auto and the slip in the trans was killer.  hated it so i am v8 and sas the runner hope to have up in month or so.

a good exhaust system, like the one that toybuilt is selling, will give 10-15 hp if all components are used
