Best front Springs /w Chevy rears?
« on: Apr 24, 2005, 04:20:04 PM »
I am going to get 63'' Chevys for the rear of my 84 pickup. What Front Springs could I use with them? I thought about the All-Pro superflex 2" but would those be too soft?or have body roll? Or would i be better off going with Marlin front springs and put a lift block in the back to level it???What are some other good ideas for the front?
Thx
Zach

put your rears in the front and add a couple of the old springs from the old front  pack make the pack about  six or seven leafs where each one is gradually shorter so each one has support.  :turtle:  :beerchug:

Fronts are flat, it wouldn't help.

If you want to buy something that will just drop in, go with marlins front springs or Rancho 44044 springs.

My truck came with 83 rears up front. I just finshed my 63"s with skys kit. The truck had 63"s with double shackels and 3inch blocks. It sits the same and my pinion angle is way better. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=348720
I am sick of the ride with the rears up front, and want to move the axle back alittle so I don't have to move the box.(pitmanarm hits tierod) Does marlin still make a 3" spring? It says they, do but no part number.

best thing to do is call them,,,marlins springs only move the sxle 1.5 inches,,,that should be enough to clear your arm..stock rears are 2.0 inches forward..

I don't see why the ride sucks with your front springs..Most people are real happy eith the rears up front..
Forgiveness is between them and god..
Its my job to arrange the meeting!
