RESURRECTION

I haven't rock crawled since 2002 and that was the last time I used my CB.

I tried different CB antenna over the years.

My favorite is a 102" tapered fiberglass mounted on bed rail right behind the rear window.

In 20+ years of wheeling, I've never seen an incident where a long steel whip zapped someone standing near the vehicle.

Obvious mounting location of the antenna is important depending upon the application.

Wheeling here in AZ there were times when we'd be running through some low hanging trees and the roof mounted antenna would be prone to damage.

I liked the K40 35" magnet mount for the roof when I wanted to be able to easily remove it.  With the base load and ground plane it provided very good transmission and reception performance.
