Mar rack without RCLT?
« on: May 09, 2022, 04:16:32 PM »
Hi there

I have a question about the Mar rack.  Is it possible to upgrade my 5th gen 4Runner?   I already have the TC +2 long travel.  Do you think it’s doable?

Thanks
Mike

Hello Mike,

The 200-series steering rack will not work properly on a vehicle without RCLT for a few reasons. These reasons are not RCLT specific, but our kit has been designed to work with this upgraded rack. One of those reasons is that the steering rack requires a vehicle that has a 2.75" long travel kit or wider installed. The other requirement is that the vehicle with 2.75"+ long travel must also have a custom-made knuckle with the proper geometry needed for this rack. A stock knuckle will not work properly with this rack, whether it has long travel or not.

Thank you,

Kyle
