This damn vent....
« on: Feb 05, 2018, 09:32:05 AM »
What is the best way to remove this vent? passenger side end that hides the last dash pad bolt. I’m getting tired of braking the vent trying to remove it.

If you can compress the clips top and bottom of the vent one at a time with a thin tool you can get it out, sometimes.  On time I was able to get every other fastener out and then yard up on it until I could gain access to that top corner bolt from underneath with an extension on a ratchet.

Ok well I got it out, and the way the clips are set up, you need to push the vent in, the pop all 4 clips down, you can’t get the bolt from the bottom with an extension because of the angel of the bolt.

Good job.  Come to think of it I might have cut up my hand up in there with a tiny wrench.  It was violent and that tab ended up pointed at the sky.  You did it the right way.  It's funny this is one of those things you don't do often enough to remember.
