weird bell crank on my '85 throttle linkage
« on: Dec 10, 2017, 04:06:45 PM »
There has always been a sort of snag on the throttle of my '85 4Runner.  I have replaced the throttle cable, rebuilt the throttle pedal assembly (I changed out the plastic bushings for brass ones, disassembled the bell crank assembly and drilled a hole in the tube so I  could lube and grease it while it is assembled but nothing seems to work for very long.  A friend of mine has an '86 that has a different sort of linkage and he doesn't seem to have a problem.  Does anyone know if the later model assembly will work on my 1985 ?
first Toyota 4Runner project . . .
