I ran across some confusion when I was about to install my distributor. I'm installing it into an almost fully built hybrid motor that's never been ran before. With that said, I've always just replaced a distributor, but this engine has not had a distributor in it so I'm not exactly sure where the crank and came should be when I install it. I currently have it on 0 tdc with the cam at the position in the pictures. Am I good to drop the distributor in and have the rotor point to cylinder 1? Or do I need to turn the cam?
I've also head that hybrids run best on certain timing advancements and what not, any info on that as well would be much appreciated.
Here's the specs of the motor.
20r head
Delta 272 433 lift cam
Weber 38 outlaw
Oversized valves
Aluminum rockers
22r block bored 40 over
40 over pistons
