Bad_Vision's TDI swap
« on: Feb 05, 2017, 05:45:01 PM »
Guys I'm to the point of wiring my ECU. Now I see a bunch of unfinished information about the TDI wiring.
I have a ALH out of a 2001 Jetta.
My problem is the amount of wires that go to the colored plugs on the harness. It was my understanding that once the immo is deleted and the tune was done that the ECU could literally run on a constant fused power a ground and a switched fused power on.
So I should just be able to tap the ignition of my Toyota to the run the ECU as a stand alone and with power to it should sense the engine rotating when the Toyota starter engages.
I believe I'm in the right track, can anyone who has done this successfully confirm my deductions?
