Topic: New dual cases stuck in 4wd

Just got done building 2.28-4.7 duals with rear twin sticks. Everything bench tested well and I drove around a few weeks with only rear driveline and it all worked good. Got my second driveline made and installed and now after test drive the rear case is stuck in 4wd. I can get the shifter to shift back and forth most of the time. Put the Front  on jack stands and when hubs unlocked, case in 2wd the front is still locked, but almost like half way. If I put everything in neutral there is ALOT of resistance to turn front tires but they will turn. Lock hubs and nothing moves because rear tires on ground. Unlock hubs and tires spin freely. I'm at a loss I don't know what to check. I searched 7 pages on here and I don't see any similar issue.

So after some more messing with this I think it shifts fine. Could it be a smoked bearing? If definitely “frees” up the front shaft when the R stick is in 2w but there is still a lot of resistance on the shaft and driving causes the shaft to spin. But it will free spin with a lot of force. 4wd works fine as it should.
