Looking for a WORKING Idle Air Control Valve. Ive bought two so far and they have both been dead. Im dyin over here... If you have one my email is dbbowen2@gmail.com The link below has detailed photos of the part, and how to test it. It should read 39-59 ohms on the electrical connector. PLEASE!!! haha

I don't have one, but just wanted to say that probably more important than the resistance is that the flapper wheel moves inside there properly.  Meaning that at COLD it is partly open and at warm it is mostly shut.  I'd ask whoever sells you one to check it by throwing it in the freezer, and verifying that it opens and shuts.

If you're careful, you can take them apart and fix the wiring......... Got a couple of years out of doing that.

i tried pulling one of the ones I bought apart that was dead and when I pulled the electrical connector end out it basically ruined it. I had already removed the flapper in the other end. How did you take yours apart without ruining it?

This was almost 20 years ago......   There was some twisting and wobbling involved....

Dang it I ripped the bi metal out of the plastic plug when I did it on my broken spare. I'm like hoping and praying that I can find one in tact

It may have on mine too.     

I had to reconnect and rewrap part of the wires.     

I do remember epoxy,  so I think I poured some down the hole and let it set up.  (after making sure the electrical part actually worked)

Raise your warm idle up as high as you dare.   Might be enough when it's cold.

Thats what ive been doing unfortunately. When my AC clutch kicks on it damn near kills my motor.

Its there, and it tests okay, I also tried one from an older 4cyl camry and they both give me the same results :/ I think i may have found an IACV so thats a start to the problem. Maybe both of my AC solenoids are bad. When the AC is on and I turn the white screw to adjust the AC idle nothing happens

When it is stuck open or closed it effects where your cold idle setting will be though. Mine is stuck open so my idle screw is like as far in as it will go lol.
