anyone know of a much larger oil filter or maybe and an oil cooler to get some of this lost oil capacity back?

It uses the same oil filter as a 22re. Many options to choose from.

ok. so..... i think i got it. it clears by about a piece of paper in some spots, but ill just take a grinder to the surrounding areas and the one bolt head. hoping i wont have an issue with the entire pan not sloping towards the oil pickup at the rear of the pan.. at the same time, i think if it became an issue its because i was already pretty low on oil. input?

It probably looks worse then it is, how many inches you take out of that side of pan. I've seen people cut front of pan for clearence

pan is same height as it was. im gonna say it probably lost at least a quart.

thanks buddy! glad to be back! time to do it again, but a little differently.. the pan will have plenty of room if the back of the motor lifts up about 1/4 inch when i put the trans on. if it has to go lower, im screwed haha. i dont think that will be the case though.. and if it is, ill lower the dang diff.. meh.

Well, I returned the motor.. Found a loose bolt in there too... I'm on the hunt for another 8 port 2 coil 3RZ.
