Diff Slop

I can turn the rear wheels about 3 inches before the axle starts to turn. Is this normal for a Grizzly in the rear of 85 toyota?

I'm confused! Do you mean the opposite side of the wheel you are turning??

My bad, I meant drive shaft not axle

I haven't had a grizzly but it would be typical for a Detroit.
