Need help guys.
I have a 1983 5-speed. During normal driving, starting to shift down after making a stop, truck stuck in 5th gear. Shifter is completely loose,,, no resistance from gear engagement. Removed the shifter and both bushings are in good shape. The socket that the shifter rod/ball sits in is loose as well. Can not shift out of 5th gear at all.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
