Topic: 22rte running rough?

I have a 1987 Toyota Pickup 4x4 turbo. It runs a little rough and stumbles when giving gas from low rpm. If it's at idle and you punch the gas for a second it cuts out for a second then catches up with itself. Does anyone know where to start? What should be checked first and replaced or cleaned?

Good luck figuring it out, I'm replacing my whole 22rte with a regular 22re I'm building because I got tired of trying to figure it out

I think, maybe check out the throttle position sensor? A big vac leak maybe? With the turbo there might be a whole layer of possibilities I've never seen before though.

I'm kind of sold out to carb these days. 

Speaking of, whatever happened to your hybrid build?

You must get ahold of a lot of Toyotas!

Thanks H8PVMNT I'll check  out the throttle position sensor, and I have not given up on my hybrid haha, I just got a tranny for it so now waiting for a sunny day to drop it in my 79.
