1983 4link help
« on: May 13, 2015, 09:32:52 PM »
So I am thinking about doing a 4 link set up in the rear of my 1983 pickup. I have the 63's up front and have 3 inch blocks and 2 inch lift springs(they flex like poop). So my plan is to run 40s. I was thinking about chopping the frame off behind the cab and then building the 4 link on its own behind that. What do you guys think? Anybody have a 4 link setup in the rear and want to share some pictures. :wink2:

Actually I have a 14 bolt sitting in my garage that I picked up a couple weeks ago. I want to use that but here in Colorado everybody wants 1000 for a stock dana 60. If I were to go that route I would put a 350 in it. I just don't have the money for all the gears and lockers and shafts and so on. I would love to go with the 14bolt but after working out the prices it would be over 3000 to build just the axles. Love your rug btw. I only want to do 40s so I have not broke any thing yet.  :dunno: I also have chromolly shafts and spools and gears so it's set up. Did you build your link setup?
