front case
« on: Jan 29, 2015, 05:49:53 PM »
my front case pops out of gear when going down hills. i've already converted my forward shift to top shift. helped a little bit but still pops out.

first question does the front case have detent ball and spring like the rear? i pulled the plug where the spring goes and cant fit my head up there to see if there's anything in there.

shouldn't there be enough tension on the spring that it would pop out of the whole?

Yes there is one spring and one ball for the crawl box. It's needs to be there! If it isn't, purchase an HD spring that marlin sells. Problem solved! That is if.....that's the issue

make sure the shifter boot isn't pulling on the shifter as well!

I just finished building my dual case setup last nite and i can say the hd spring is sweet! Shifts totally different than a stocker.
