FEELER here...

As most if you know I swapped a 4.3 chevy v-6 TBI into my krawler a few years ago, contemplating selling the set up. Here's what I got-

4.3 TBI with
-Tbi spacer
-High output alternator
-Currently has second alternator converted for weldernator
-Also has York compressor mounted up
-computer has been flashed for mpg ad power
-entire wiring harness from engine compartment to computer

700r4 with AA adapter to toyota transfer case, output shaft installed by lumpy, he also tightened things up while he was there
-modified for manual linkage instead of cable
-re-enforced transmission to adapter with 1/4 plate (per lumpy recommendation)
At the moment I have both the 21 ad 23 spline coupler, but someone is interested in the other home made adapter I used to run and the 21 spline coupler...

Basically this is a drop in ready 4.3/700 r4 with adapter for toyota transfer case, harness already adapted for '85 vintage toy.

Passed smog with flying colors if your concerned!

Looking to get 1500 for the combo.

Only reason I'm considering this is I'm wanting to go back to a toyota drivetrain.
Willing to consider a trade for the right drivetrain.

Ideal would be 2/3rz with transmission and harness

GOOD 22re with trans/harness would do as well.

At the moment not wanting to separate the adapter and cases. Would need enough to replace the case which I'm guessing is more than your willing to spend! I guess I may be willing to sell/trade the rear case with the disconnect but would want a marlin 4.7 case in exchange +$

I have a '98 3RZ running in my '89 4Runner over by Great Falls, MT. I can't really afford any vehicle down time right now but I have considered the 4.3 swap because we sometimes pull trailers with it. I'm not really into the 700R4 but I would consider a swaperoo later on in the year if we could work out the logistics and you still have it.

I currently have an over fueling problem with the 3RZ right now, we suspect I have the wrong ECU. I really want to work that out but the 4.3 might serve our use better anyway. Keep me posted...

Right it was the 700R4. About how many miles on the 4.3? Is it fresh, old or in between?

How does in crawl with the 700R4?

Mine is motor/trans/adapter with harness into '85 runner. Chevy fuel pump so no issues with fuel pressure.

Any more info in the overfueling? Runs or not? Sputters? What we talking?

4.3 passes smog no problem.

Would need to adapt harness, (guages work but haven't added toy sensors so guages are a little off) have aftermarket temp guage currently. Have a radiator but will require custom mount.

Crawls awesome with the 700r4.
