hey every one i was just wondering what is the diff between an 82 motor and an 84 motor please let me now thanks

Thats possible a loaded question.  If I remember correctly theres not much.  Just the possibility of the intake/ head bolt pattern beings differend.  but you could always use a 84 intake.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

the bolt patterns are the same, but the intake itself is usually different.

The head is also drilled for the EFI intake on the 84. Not sure, But I think that the 84 block is taller. But that could be 85.

The blocks were the same from 81 - 84 (all tall blocks / 98 roll timing chain).

About the only difference I could think of is that they started drilling holes for EFI setups on the 84 Celica.
