Guess I should go ahead and post up some more pictures.  :turtle3:

First is an artistic shot at the tower.

A few others were up there in the afternoon, including the little Datsun pickup with a diesel.

We were checking it out later at Posi Hill while broken Jeeps were being winched over the rocks.  :flamer:

It has a 3.3L Cummins from a skid steer and various home adapted components.

Yep, those are the springs.

Ratchet strap for the fuel tank.

Anyway, back to the beginning of the run, we see lots of Jeeps lined up, with a fair number of Toyota minis mixed in.

"I got your Jeep thing...on my tow strap"

First stop was to sign the liability waiver.

Some people couldn't wait to wheel.  This guy apologized in advance for having to shine his light bar into our rearview mirrors.

Here's the broken Jeep.  It lost the rear driveshaft, so they removed it and he went the rest of the way up Posi with FWD, and a winch pull.

The Jeep that usually sits at the top of Posi Hill for winch pulls is set up with portal axles, and is super tall.  He had spooled out too far, so his winch cable came off. I was giving him a hand to hold it in place while he started the retainer bolt.

That's all the decent nighttime pics we got.  Here's a couple more from the afternoon.

UniMog tow truck in case anyone got stuck.

Brandon finishing off Posi.

The boys were more interested in watching, taking pictures of, and driving the RC crawler, than watching me do Posi.  :attention:

LEOs on hand.

Someone ran a car off the road near base camp.  I think there might have been a snatch strap available, though the back tires were 6-8 inches off the ground.

Parting shot of my tagalongs.

Cool pics Toyotadon  Really bummed I couldn't have been in two places at once (I was on the Rubicon during Moonlight). I haven't seen that many people brave enough to run FG stickers anywhere.

The Diesel-powered Datsun pickup is from a friend of TURBO's. There are some more pics of it from last year's Round-Up here: http://www.marlincrawler.com/gallery/2012/sep/2012-marlin-crawler-round

Including helping us move some toilets!

They definitely have a presence at this event, with running a check point and giving away an axle housing.  :ack:
