G52/54 shift rails????
« on: Mar 15, 2005, 03:47:02 PM »
Have you ever taken your trans apart and forgot how it goes back together? Well yes I have. Is there a breakdown or a writeup on how the G52/G54 transmisions go together?  :psss:

I don't like puzzles and this has me puzzled. :tantrum:

MiniSimp your allright. Point for you! I will be back with a picture of a shifter part that doesn't seem to be shown here. I'm not even sure it goes to a G54 or maybe a L52.

Ok What is this and does it go to a G54 or a L52?

If you have seen what I did to this poor trans you know I have parts from a L52 and a G54.

If it goes to a L52 Then I could care less, so long as I know it don't go to a G54.

Thanks for your help.

I realy liked the instruction sheet that came with the gear set. That saved a lot of time. P.S. did you find out what number gear set I have?

Thanks again

It's deffinetly the reverse shift fork.
I'm digging through the FSM trying to find that specific one now.
Here is what I have so far:
