K recap: 1985 Toy 4x4 s/cab L/bed 22re S/axle R151F turbo 5speed
Swapped the auto tranny out for the turbo 5speed, adjusted the clutch to manf. specs *(spec sheet sent from Marlin with clutch assembly)* Now the issue is that when I first start driving the truck it feels "normal" after about 15min it feels as though the truck is being held back by something *(kinda like something is dragging)* and then all of the sudden under load with low to moderate rpm's there is a nasty sqealing like a bearing going bad, if I hit a bump it stops then starts right back up again. Then all of the sudden it just stops doing it and the truck feels alittle better as far as the "dragging" feeling. When I shift I do feel the gears coming together in the tranny *(they're not grinding so to speak but it's not a smooth shift either)*. Does anyone have an idea(s) of what this might be? Also the shifters do get rather hot but then again I don't know if I should have some type of heat sheild on the under side of the cab and I don't have the "proper" shifter boots on the truck either. I just made up a temp floor mat to cover the hole in the floor to keep the heat on my leg to a minimum. I can take pics of anything anyone requests so if you would like to see anything just let me know and I'll snap a few pics and post them for ya.
Thanks for your help in advance....
