I have a 85 pickup that we just did hysteer on
when we put the steering shaft back on we cracked the "Y" part that connects the staft to the steering box

anyways i found a replacement and had to take the whole column off to change it, it being my first time i ended up taking off the cluster portion too

well i had flipped the whole column upside down to put the shaft that goes in the column tube, pounded it a couple times to get the shaft to seat correctly, now after re-installation my lights dont work no power at all, ignition in the on position and nothing,
hazard switch clicks but no flashing lights, no time on the clock either

now i did have to un-plug the wiring harness from the alternator and the negative wire that connects at a box next to the harness plug that is bolted on by a 10mm bolt (shaft was put on top of the harness and would rub so i had to un-plug it to put it back over the shaft)

now everything is plugged in and no lights or power to anything
i checked all fuses in the engine bay, fuses by the kick panel, double checked the harnesses on the column

no idea what to do now, please help :-\ :-\

first check and make sure your battery has juice.
then using a tester see if you have power to the plug to the ignition.

sounds like a dead battery or you popped fuse's

Did you check the main fuse in the fuse block under the hood, 60 or 80 amp I think? If it is blown you have to unbolt the fuse block from the fender well and unbolt the fuse from the bottom.

Well I double checked the main fuse again and it wasnt blown
My cousin came to help take a look and we figured out it was the fusable link that connects
the power to the main fuse
