What motor? I just removed all but 3 vacuum lines. My PCV valve, brake booster, and vacuum advance to the distributor. Runs better than ever!

The amount of power gained from this will be minimal. I can only think of two candidates to gain a trace amount of power: 1) cooler and less oil-contaminated intake charge by removing the crankcase ventilation system (PCV), and 2) cooler intake charge by disabling the exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR). If you remove vacuum solenoids, you will reduce the load on the charging system (by fractions of fractions), however the power benefit in this case will probably be attributed to a weight reduction (on the magnitude of grams).

You could also remove the throttle body heating circuit (by installing a valve in either of the two throttle body water hoses) to reduce the temperature of your throttle body, intake manifold, and related components, however you'll always have a high idle as a result (so I advise you use a valve and leave it barely cracked open to let a trace amount of hot water to the throttle body idle control circuit). But this is no vacuum line.

I think you'd be better driving around town with half a tank of gas or less to reduce the weight of your truck, or remove your passenger seat, or the junk in your glove box, or start a Subway diet, as you'd probably benefit more from this and will not sacrifice the dependability of your engine [ie. the EGR system reduces stresses in each cylinder by reducing the average cylinder temperature, and the PCV system helps maintain cylinder compression by 1) increasing the life expectancy of the previous valve job by lubricating intake valves & seats and 2) minimizing piston ring to cylinder wear].

Sounds good  In my opinion not wanting to deal with them is more of an incentive to have them removed rather than looking for additional power.

Good points, Mike.  I removed mine for simplicity sake.  Vacuum advance and brake booster are my only 2.
