remove it and take it apart, there's probably just soda and coffee spilled in it.  I've cleaned out dozens of them, and they always work when I'm done...

i actually just bought the 4runner, itraded my 85 with 33's and a bobbed bed for an 86 with a sas and 35's and 4.88's. but no window switch. had to give the guy a grand to boot. needed the 4runner to haul the yung'un around. day after we did the trade he spun a bearing in the moter. i'm still trying to get some pictures posted of it. thanks everybody for the info  :chew:

you need a 3 position return to center. I helped a friend instal some one his 4runner doors. they are tricky to get the wires figured out. but if you try it with a aftermarket like we did not the colors of the wires and where on the switch they need to be for future reference. it took about 45 minutes to figure out the first door. we never got to the other, but it should be easier now. the rear door will be last. He had purchased a set of lighted switches from a electronics company near salinas, ca.
