97 lc80 tc issues
« on: Nov 27, 2010, 10:35:50 PM »
our recently purchased 97 lc80 seems to be binding up when turning tight...it's been suggested that the tc is staying locked in 4hi like it would be in 4lo and that's wy there's the binding.  what I want to know is if there is an "easy" way to address this without removal and replacing the tc.  also, if I do remove this tc and replace it with another one can this one be rebuilt to be even better (I know "better" is a loose term, is there any improvements is basically what I'm geting at) than the stock ones?

thanks for any info.

btw-this lc has about a 6" lift and easily runs 35's...the po had 37's on it...and it will be regeared to 4.88 within the next week.
