toyota running issues?
« on: Aug 07, 2011, 06:09:30 PM »
went to take my wifes toyota out last night, was running great, jumped on a dirt road and was following another toyota, hit few whoops and right about the time i went to get back on the road to head to the trail the truck started cutting out, got it home and when under a load or accelerating it runs fine but if you try and keep even throttle or decel it just cuts out and dies, if you go to start it it fires a few times and dies, if you give it throttle it will rev up but then die or cutting out depending on the throttle position... its a 22re in a 86 pickup, i noticed later there was a vacuum plug missing right next to the filter so i was sucking in some dirt there. i pulled a MAF off my 2wd and made no difference. tried checking the connections i can find cleaned them with electric spray and put them back together with no difference. anyone have any ideas? thanks
