Good working early 22r carb
« on: Apr 25, 2011, 07:53:41 PM »
Looking for a good, well working early 22r carb.  Must be complete and ready to bolt on and go.  The closer to 96003 the better, but I can pay with paypal and have it shipped if needed.

Let me know how much you want, and post pics if you can.

I have one from my 84, ran good, has HAC valve and is here:

There was another guy who wanted it but I haven't heard from him in a week or so. I'm asking $30 plus shipping and I'm in 80918. I have the air cleaner but it's modified a tad... the snorkel dealie has been cut and flipped because I had a "cold-ish air intake" setup from the firewall area; chopped a hole in the apron and ran some dryer hose through it. It sorta worked... I have paypal too.

I know you're looking for a carb ready to bolt on... I've got a couple early 22r carbs, as well as a Weber 32/36, but they are probably needing a rebuild.  If you strike out on finding a good, clean one ready to bolt on, let me know.  I might even have a rebuild kit, but I'll have to look.  I'm in Redding.

Thanks Ken, I'm sporting a craptastic 32/36 now, which is why I'm looking to get away from it  ;)  I have a couple possibilities lined up, and have at least 2 22r carbs around somewhere that need rebuilt, just can't seem to find them now that I want to use one.

Ha, I was just about to pm you but got stuck texting with a friend.  You're 100% sure it's in full working order?  How long has it been sitting?  I ask because 22r carbs don't seem to like sitting, especially if they have gas in them, and even worse if it's california gas  ;)

It came off my 22R when it tossed a few bearings last November; drained the fuel 'cause I don't want my shop burning down. Ran fine, it's dirty, sold the HAC so 3 vacuum ports need to be plugged or get another HAC? If I can get to the yard before they close, I can try to find one to send with the carb.

That's cool, I don't need anything associated with smog  ;)  See what usps flat rate box it'll fit in if you have any around, or let me know what shipping through usps, fedex or ups would be to 96001 and let me know.

It'll fit in a medium flat-rate box and I think those are about $10 to ship anything anywhere:

http://postcalc.usps.gov/MailServices.aspx?m=13&dz=96001&oz=80918&pob=0&MailingDate=5/31/2011&MailingTime=8:00%20AM&mt=13

Hm... I missed the regular-postage flat rate boxes? Are they all proirity rate now?

So let's call it an even $40 shipped if you still need it... USPS be damned.

Uh... still got this sitting in the garage... you want? Otherwise it'll go with the rest of my pile when I part it out next month.
