Topic: Cables in the throtle body?

Ihave a 1985 4runner, 22re, auto. I am tryin to figure out what the cable is in the bottom of the throtle body. It is located just underneith the throtle cable, and has an orange boot on it.

Any help would be of help!

It tells your auto how much throttle your applying.

coo thanx! I guess I need a new one, it opens up and wont return. Im guessin that is the problem, if not does anyone else have any suggestions on fixing it?

The cable doesn't pull back? I don't remember how it all works but check for a spring on the transmission that may be broken.
