4 runner project
« on: May 28, 2011, 06:54:15 PM »
Some pics of a 4runner project I have been tinkering with..  Someone was gonna scrap the body So  I ended up with it for scrap price

Quick repaint.

Also bobbed it a little

Just painting right over the rust holes :D

Some primer on the "welds"

Little more primer

Some rhinoliner on the rockers

close up of my bugger welds

Ready for a little action

Started on a bumper and spare tire carrier.

swaped out to some wagon wheels and bogger/swamper combo

Made a hitch a receiver for it.

Started on a front bumper

Well the Lexan(if thats what it is) on these is really brittle.. So I have shoe goo'ed and fiberglassed the hole inside to try and keep this bugger together.
Also added some door and inner panels to help stiffen it all up some.

Front fender cracked on its first run so I had to "repair" it..

I also burnt up the motor on that run so this is the new power plant.

Quick vid of it in action.

Finished up the front bumper today with this little skid.  Really was just something to practice with the dimple dies on.

Not really happy with the fairlead mount.

Carved out a quick dash..  Not real detailed

Added some glass to the back windows.

Proline floor pan, Rhino linered.

Got a steering wheel on it and some gauges..  Couldnt really get a good pic of the gauge cluster.  Its not great anyway..
