I have only been 2 times.  And it was a good turnout.  It is worth attending.  See a bunch of people with cool rigs.

Yes pretty jammin up there that weekend, people come from all over. def worth checking out. I reccomend paying for the day run, like 12 bucks Ive heard the cops up there hassle you about being on the mountain if you dont have a sticker on your window.

Presented by the Clovis Independent Four Wheelers by special use permit from the Sierra National Forest. Join us

Copied that from the website. I think that means they have the right to say get off the trail.
this will be my 4th year running this event and they seem to enforce it every year, Vrock is a huge party at night and several people in bright yellow checking for stickers to make sure you have paid. they wont let you hit vrock unless you have a sticker. all i know.

Technically Pozi, Hollywood and Vrock are not on the 4w trail and are not ever supposed to be used. It is generally not enforced. They get a special permit to use them on those dates and keep anyone off them that has not paid. The trail itself is public and if they hassle you to use it they can kiss your :moon:

ok I can understand the v rock thing, but yeah the trail is public. and the permit is only so they can charge for the event, and get the insurance and all the legal mumbo jumbo.

makes sense about the other stuff, thinking about going this year..... maybe, but I heard its always a big traffic jam up there.

Wen you pay the registration for the run does it come with the permit to run Pozi, Hollywood and Vrock ? if not i have to get it from the Sierra National Forest ?

no, what I gather is that they have the permits, you pay for the run, get a sticker for your window, lets you join in...

The run is fairly packed and busy.  The first event of this caliber that I attended there was 2 years ago.  I was amazed at the huge turn out.  Last years turnout was nothing close the the trail jam of 2 years ago.  It is still however a fun event to attend.  I would make plans, you will have a great time!
