85 runner fuel tank size?

Well I have a few people that have offered up tanks but I was told by someone that there are 2 tank sizes?  A 17 gallon and a 14.5?  I thought the 17 came in trucks and the 14 came in the runner but now I'm confused anyone know which one?

Is your 4runner a SR5? I have an 85 with the smaller Tank and my brother's 85 has one with the 17 gallon. The difference between our trucks is he has a SR5 and mine is a DX. The larger tank hangs down about two inches lower.

Im not sure if mine is an sr5 I will check.  there is another runner in the work lot that I'm pretty sure isnt an sr5 and compare the two

My 85' pickup (SR5) always fills up between 15 and 16 gallons... Even after I ran out of gas on the side of the road.
