Wheeling this weekend Nov 6-7
« on: Nov 02, 2010, 10:32:27 AM »
Anyone in the Fresno area going to be up wheeling this weekend (Nov 6-7)? My truck just got a new set of axles under it and I am wanting to go out and do some wheeling with it this weekend. Shaver area trails? Bald? Shuteye? Beashore? Jose basin?  Post some ideas or where you are going to be wheeling.
If I hit it just right, I might make it.

I am planning on heading up as my Dad is coming in to town and I wanted to take him out on a trail. He's never been out in the rig and lives 2800 miles away (Philadelphia area, where I grew up). Was going to hit Bald or something similar tentatively Saturday AM early, like leave Clovis at 6-7 AM and start heading up 168. Quick run up and back to the fire lookout, be back by lunch or early afternoon.

I'm slow up the 4-lane but quick once I hit the trail, and only have a limited time out with family in town.
