flat pitman arm question?
« on: Nov 30, 2010, 06:33:43 PM »
   iv installed rears up front on my 80 toy. 6 leaf pack, stock spring hanger. now im working on the ifs box/hy steer. iv never done this before but im pretty sure the pitman arm is gona hit the spring. SO my question is is there any drawbacks to using a flat pitman arm ???    the ifs box is not mounted yet but even cuting into the body mount it looks like the pitman will hit the spring for sure

Im running a flat pitman arm cause how i clocked the box. Theres no drawbacks, but i have found with a flat pitman arm you turn a little tighter.
