97 TACO 8.4 Rear Disc Brake Questions
« on: Nov 21, 2010, 06:00:52 PM »
I need to do a disc brake swap on my 97 8.4 Taco the brakes suck on this thing so i thought i would start by up grading rear brakes.

Any kits you guys know of or home brew applications that you know work well.
I want it to be simple and work good.
Let me know what i need i want to do this soon I'm tired of shake brakes.

I have some solid front rotors and some front calipers from a early toy maybe something with this.

Thanks

Martin

sky manufacturing sell a kit i think and so does all pro i wouldnt buy anything from trail gear... and def up grade your master with bigger breaks means more fluid volume so you need a way to hold more make sence? if you do the tundra up grade up front put the taco breaks in the rear and it will be perfect... unless you use like a gm monte carlo caliper and rotor setup in the rear you are going to need to purchase a transfercase mounted ebreak also from all pro ...hope this helps
