Yep I broke a main leaf on a set of 4" Marlin's at the Hammers a few years back. Used a whole roll of Duct tape and drove it off the trail. Ordered a new set and they are still on there. Stuff happens if you wheel the trails I do!!!!!

I have seen a few, But it was due to no bump stops. Depending on how old they are I would say when you wheel your rig stuff will break, eventually. I would get a stock rear main and second leaf to bump the axle a little farther forward.

They are a couple years old and yes Im using bump stops set correctly to keep the spring from going negative. no jumping but it broke on the road back to camp the other week. The trail I had been on all day was pretty hardcore so not blaming the pack just wondering who else has possibly broken one and how common it might be. I called marlin for a new one but like everything else I try and order from them its on endless back order so Im having a local spring place duplicate just the main leaf so I can fix it and go wheeling asap

That is what happens when you ask a piece of metal to bend that much a whole lot of times. They are tough but they have limits, Im sure people break them, they are great springs for the price but there are better out there.

Ive been trying to break the rears for a good excuse to link it, the fronts work well but I have little weight in the back and they are too stiff back there.

less then 100bucks and Im back in business with the front repaired.

My front 4inch Marlin main leaf snapped after 1.5 years of mostly street driving but some hard core wheeling. I have since built a rears up front pack with some of the Marlin leafs and they work amazing!

actually where it broke was not too bad. I had a spring clamp I could have clamped that pregnant dog down and kept wheeling. Im lucky I didnt break that axle shaft sooner then I did cause that would have sucked!

I broke a 4" Marlin main leaf. I just finished my 350/turbo350-dual toy cases and the leaf let go crawlin the axle walked under the truck bound the tire against the frame which in turn snapped the rear input shaft in about 2 sec's.  Took 2weeks but my new "marlin"/allpro-offroad leaf is here
