e locker front with stock length longfields
« on: Sep 30, 2010, 12:32:52 PM »
im thinkin about runnin a hipinion e locker in front with stock length 30 spline longs. i was wondering if any one knows if the front axle would have the same spline engagement issue as the rear axles do ? i would really hate to break a side gear on that thing because the shaft doesnt fully engage. thanks

they make long spline inner axles for elocker apps.

http://www.longfieldsuperaxles.com/products/30-SPLINE-%252d-LONG-SPLINE-INNER-AXLE.html

He already has longs, elocker is new.

I could go take measurements for an idea. ive got a 4cyl 8 inch, a elocker, and stock birfs in the basement next to a sfa. i would imagine similar problems as doing stocks in the rear, but no source to that assumption.

ill check in a bit

If you would have searched around a little you would have found there is no issue running the 3rd in the front. The spline engagement problem is only on rear housings.
