Hey guys

I have some free time inbetween classes right now and looked up my favorite car, the Toyota MR2, on YouTube and found the coolest video I've ever seen.

So I thought this would be a cool way to explain how to embed flash objects (like videos) in your post

I'll explain how to do this using YouTube, however other sites such as Photobucket have similar video embedding code.

1. Find a cool car commercial on YouTube. To the right of the video you will see the "Embed" field. Highlight & copy that line of code.

2. Reply to this thread and right click + paste (or Ctrl+v) to paste the Embed code you copied from YouTube into the reply area.

Here is another embed code I copied from an old school Toyota Hilux video on YouTube:

3. All we care about is the width, height, and the embed source "src" value. You can see them above, they are: 425 for the width, 344 for the height, and http://www.youtube.com/v/xuG1m_W549Q&hl=en&fs=1 for the source.

src: http://www.youtube.com/v/xuG1m_W549Q&hl=en&fs=1

4. Next hit enter a couple of times (to move the cursor down a bit), locate the 'Flash' icon,

, and click it. The following code will appear in your reply:

[flash=200,200][/flash]
5. What this code means is we are telling the forum that we are entering a flash object. The format for this is [flash=width,height]http://source[/flash]

6. Now enter the values from step 3 into the flash code in step 4 so it looks like this:

[flash=425,344]http://www.youtube.com/v/xuG1m_W549Q&hl=en&fs=1[/flash]
Which will result in the following:

I've always found it easier to cut and past with youtube (find a post that has a working youtube video and change the address...........)

It is interesting to note how the 3.0 was the most "sophisticated" engine in the class of that day. The Nissan VG30I would have the 3VZ completely destroyed all the way back to mid 1986 if it wasn't for Nissan's lousy throttle body injection garbage. It's interesting how Toyota's only answer to Nissan's powerful V6 was the Turbo 22R-TE. That's how it's done in other countries outside of the US: forced induction. Too bad "Americans" only want large displacement, technologically boring engines. Ho hum.

Those crumpy and scotty commercials are awesome! I love how they dont try to fake it being a luxury ride or anything, just show em as the rugged beasts they are while they beat the crap outta them...
