« on: Aug 26, 2010, 12:45:19 PM »
ok so i just got done building my 87 22re i did a engnbldr rebuild kit and rv head. im also running the 268 cam. ive searched and i cant find the answers to a few questions. what spark plugs should i run? should i go colder? what t-stat should i use? last but not least i found a company localy that i can buy a brand new aluminum radiator with plastic tanks for only 126. is it worth it or is it going to be a weak spot? i cant find a good v6 radiator anywhere. thanks for any help.

i have a v6 radiator with plastic tanks. i live in the phx area and if you know it gets hot here and i never have an issue with it. i know eventually it will leak. but over time they all leak. my last one had brass tanks and the tank still split and could not be repaired

Go to a radiator shop and have one built for you. I have a copper and brass one I had a local guy make me based off of turbo specs? or maybe it was v6 specs? anyways... it is 3 core, tall as can be, wide as can be, and THICK! I have not had a problem with it overheating since I put it in 3 years ago.
